Dinara Alieva


Described as a singer who possesses the gift of heaven by soprano Montserrat Caballé, Azerbaijani soprano Dinara Alieva graduated at the Baku music academy and joined the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow as soloist in 2010 , where she has sung lead roles in many seminal works of the operatic literature. She has since appeared at major opera houses and concert halls throughout the world, including the Vienna State Opera, Deutsche Opera Berlin , Bavarian State Opera and Frankfurt Opera among others. She has won prizes at the Operalia Competition, Francesco Viñas Competition and Maria Callas Competition, and has since performed with the Wiener Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Oper Frankfurt, Semperoper Dresden, Staatstheater Stuttgar, Hamburg Staatsoper and Bayerische Staatsoper. She has performed under the batons of conductors such as Yuri Temirkanov, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Bashmet, Tugan Sokhiev. Constantine Orbelian, Donald Runnicles, Marcello Rota, Ken-David Masur, Marco Armiliato and Daniel Oren, Masssimo Zanetti and others.

Among the partners of Dinara Aliyeva were such outstanding singers as Elena Obraztsova, Placido Domingo, José Cura, Mariusz Quechen, George Petane, Stefano Secco, Charles Castronovo, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Marcelo Alvarez and others.
Following a triumphant 2011 debut with the Vienna State Opera as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, she returned to the house as Tatyana in Eugene Onegin and Mimi in La Boheme, a role she has also performed at Frankfurt Opera Semperoper Dresden and   . Highlights of seasons through 2015 include her appearances in recital at the Annecy Classic Festival and Iolanta at the Bolshoi Theatre. In the fall of 2015 she established the first International Opera Art Festival in the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. The Festivals five concerts featured performances of Tchaikovskys Iolanta and Verdis La traviata (in concert performance), a Verdi Gala celebrating the great composers anniversary and Puccini Gala, along with the Neapolitan songs and Spanish zarzuelas. An accomplished recitalist and concert performer, she has appeared at venues including New Yorks Carnegie Hall, Salle Gaveau in Paris, and Cadogan Hall in London.
Ms Alievas growing discography includes Alieva and Antonenko, a CD of arias and duets with Latvian tenor Aleksandrs Antonenko and the Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Constantine Orbelian; and a DVD, Dinara Alieva in Moscow, La Rondine (DOB), as well as Pace Mio Dio, a CD of Italian opera arias. Her first recording, Russian Songs and Arias, is on the Naxos label.

Engagements in the 2016/17 season and beyond include Leonora Il trovatore for the Teatro Regio Parma and Budapest Summer Festival, Marie Mazeppa for Opera de Oviedo, Mimi La boheme at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Violetta La Traviata at the Hamburgische Staatsoper and Desdemona Otello in Frankfurt.
