Biography
Boris Giltburg was born in Moscow, then his family moved to Israel. The musician studied with A.Vardi and won a number of international competitions,
including competitions in Santander (2002) and the Rubinstein (2011). In 2013,
the pianist was awarded the I prize at the Queen Elizabeth Competition in Brussels, and was nominated for the Classic Brit (Critics’ Award). Boris Giltburg has successfully toured in all continents, he has played in the most famous halls in Europe and worked with the world’s leading orchestras, including the Concertgebouw, London and the Netherlands Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic, the Danish National, Orchestras of Frankfurt, Prague, Berlin, Seattle, Baltimore and many other orchestras.
Since 2007, he has performed annually at the London’s Southbank Center, and in 2010 he made his debut at the BBC Proms. Among his creative partners are such conductors as M.Alsop, M.Brabbins, K.Dohnanyi, V.Fedoseev, N.Jaervi, E.Krivin, V.Petrenko and J.-P.Tortelier. Th e artist’s recordings are released by Orchid.
