Biography

Mateusz Borowiak graduated from Cambridge University and the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice (ñlass of A.Jasinski). He has been awarded many prizes at international competitions – including contests in Cleveland, London, Monza, Maria Canals International Piano Competition in Barcelona, as well as the recent Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels.
The musician has collaborated with many renowned orchestras – including the London Royal Philharmonic, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, Belgian National Orchestra, Bilbao Symphony Orchestra as well as various chamber music groups – and with such conductors as A.Boreyko, M.Alsop, M.Caldi and G.Neuhold.
He has performed at the Barbican Hall and Cadogan Hall in London, in Salle Cortot in Paris, as well as at festivals in the UK, Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Ukraine and USA. Recently, the pianist completed a successful tour in China. Many of his concerts have been broadcast on television and radio.
