Winner of International Competitions
Graduated from the Belarusian Academy of Music (class of V. Perlin) and completed his postgraduate studies at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He furthered his training at the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe and the Hochschule für Musik Köln, and completed his education at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart (class of N. Gutman). In addition to the aforementioned teachers, Boris Pergamenschikow, Valentin Berlinsky, and members of the Alban Berg Quartet played a significant role in his development as a musician.

Samsonov is a laureate and winner of numerous international competitions in Russia, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Italy. In 2009, he became the absolute winner of the international competition in Padua, Italy.

He appears in major concert halls across Europe, Latin America, and the United States, performing with leading orchestras and distinguished conductors. He participated in various Festivals including the Oleg Kagan Festival and the "December Evenings" founded by Svyatoslav Richter.

As a chamber musician, he has collaborated with Julian Rachlin, Boris Andrianov, Itamar Golan, Konstantin Lifschitz, Nikolai Rimmer, and many other distinguished artists.

Since 2025, he has played a cello crafted especially for him by luthier Gabriel Gebran Yakub. His second instrument is an antique cello of unknown authorship, which was presented to the musician by a private collector following the broadcast of the Bavarian Television film "Song of the Birds."
