Biography
Vladimir Felauer graduated from the Sverdlovsk Conservatory (class of trumpet) and St. Petersburg Conservatory (vocal class of Nikolai Okhotnikov).
He collaborated with the Opera and Ballet Theatrе of the St. Petersburg Conservatory and the St.Petersburg Cappella.
In 2006, he became a member of the St. Petersburg Chamber Opera. Since 2010, he has been a soloist of the Mariinsky Theatrе, where he has performed roles in operas by Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Shchedrin, Rachmaninov, Verdi, Berlioz, Mozart, Puccini and Wagner. Also included in the soloist’s repertoire are symphonic works, among them the Passion of St. Matthew by Bach, Requiems
by Mozart and Verdi and the «Messiah» oratorio by Handel.
In 2011, he took part in the performance of Mahler’s Eighth Symphony in Ljubljana and Zagreb conducted by Valery Gergiev.
Together with the Mariinsky Th eatrе he toured in Rotterdam, London, Cardiff and Birmingham.
