Biography
Aidar Gainullin – bayan and accordion player, singer and composer – graduated from the Gnessins Russian Academy of Music and the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. Winner of 18 international competitions, he has toured in many countries around the world, performed in major concert halls, including the Berlin Philharmonic, Salle Gaveau (Paris), Wigmore Hall (London), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), the Kennedy Center (Washington, DC) and the Moscow International House of Music. Aidar Gainullin actively works as a film composer and has won many prestigious awards, including the National Award "Nika". Among his creative partners are such eminent musicians as M.Rostropovich, S.Ozawa, Yu.Bashmet, D.Matsuev, M.Vengerov, A.Netrebko and well-known film producers, directors and actors. Aidar Gainullin teaches, sits on the jury panel of various festivals, performs and records.
