Violin

Biography

She graduated from the violin faculty of the Ankara Conservatory of Hacettepe University with Cengiz Ozkok and Reyyan Yucelen. She continued her studies at the Dokuz Eylul University Conservatory with Kartal Akıncı. She also studied with David Salness in Maryland (USA) and with Benjamin Warsaw at the Istanbul University Conservatory.

She won the 1st Prize at the Lions Club Competition, and the 3rd Prize at the «String Instruments Competition» organized by Yamaha and the D.E.U.

She played in the Youth Orchestras of Bremen and Andolu, participated in many festivals, attended master classes led by Valentina Yakubovskaya, Igor Oistrakh, Gerhard Schulz, Gerald Rubinstein and Joshua Epstein. She participated in a chamber master class by violinist Eliza Kuder from the Apple Hill American Chamber Music Society, as a result of which she was awarded a special scholarship and invited to the US Chamber Music Festival.

She performed as a soloist with orchestras from Athens, Northern Cyprus, Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya and many others. Since 2011 she has been playing in the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra (since 2016 - concertmaster).
