Biography

Yulia Savrasova was born in Murmansk, Russia.

Studies at The Herzen State University of Russia and The Academy of Young Opera Singers of the Mariinsky Theatre. Private lessons with Jesus Quinones Ledesma in the United States of America and Viktoria Loukianetz in Vienna (Austria). Singing Masterclasses with Elena Obraztsova, Makvala Kasrashvili (Russia) and Katia Ricciarelli (Italy).

Yulia Savrasova is winner of several international singing competitions. Among others: XXI International Miklaus Schneider-Trnavsky singing competition in Trnava, Slovakia; II International Boris Shtokolov singing competition in Saint Petersburg.

In 2010 Yulia Savrasova made her debut on the stage of The Mariinsky Theatre as

Countess in Mozart's opera "The Marriage of Figaro”. That followed an engagement at the Tatar State Opera and Ballet House in Kazan (Tatarstan), where she made her debut as Micaëla in Bizet's opera "Carmen". As a soloist of the theatre she also several times participated in Shaliapin Opera Festival (Kazan) and opera tours.

Yulia Savrasova pays special attention to performing recitals of chamber vocal music.

Particularly notable her creative collaboration with the pianists Pavel Egorov and Norman Shetler.

Since 2012 lives in Vienna.
