Biography

Born in 1971, he graduated from the Kirov State Pedagogical University as a philologist in 1993. In 1999, he graduated from the Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory (class of A. Sedov). After graduating he worked at the Nizhny Novgorod Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 1999, he joined the Mikhailovsky Opera Company.

Awards:
  • Prize-winner of the All-Russian Singing Contest Bella Voce (1997, Moscow),
  • Prize-winner of the International Singing Contest dedicated to Sergey Zimin at the Bolshoi Theatre (1996, Moscow).
His repertory includes: Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Vaudémont (Iolanthe), Lykov (The Tsar’s Bride), Vladimir Igorevich (Prince Igor), Almaviva (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), Edgaro (Lucia di Lammermoor), Alfredo (La traviata), Count (Rigoletto), Alfred (Die Fledermaus), the part of tenor in Beethoven’s Symphony 9, the part of tenor in Verdi’s and Mozart’s Requiem.
