Biography

Sergey Stadler has graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory and the Moscow Conservatory. His teachers were Gutnikov, Vayman, Oistrakh, Kogan, Tretiakov. He is laureate of the Tchaikovsky International Competition, International Competitions in Prague, Paris and Helsinki.

He collaborated with such famous conductors as Kurt Mazur, Mariss Jansons, Evgeny Svetlanov, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Wolfgang Sawallisch, Mikhail Pletnev, Yuri Temirkanov and Valery Gergiev; and such chamber musicians as Yuri Bashmet, Natalia Gutman, Victor Tretiakov, Evgeny Kissin, Peter Donohoe, Michel Dalberto .

He is the first performer of the music of some contemporary composers.

Sergey Stadler has toured to 70 countries, recorded more than 40 CDs.

In recent years he has preferred work as a conductor. He headed the St Petersburg Conservatory Opera and Ballet Theatre and Ekaterinburg State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

He was worked for the St. Petersburg and Moscow Conservatories. Now he is the artistic director of the Petersburg-Concert.
