Momo Kodama

Biography
Japanese pianist, Momo Kodama moved to Europe at an early age. She studied in Germany and also attended the National Conservatory in Paris.
Afterwards, she studied with such renowned pianists as M. Peraia, A. Schiff, V. Gornostaeva and T. Nikolaeva. In 1991, she became the youngest winner of the ARD International Competition in Munich.
She has performed with world-renowned orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the NHK Symphony Orchestra, the NDR Hamburg Orchestra, Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Liverpool Orchestra and others. She worked with such famous conductors as S. Ozawa, Charles Dutoit, K. Nagano and A. Previn. She has participated in prestigious music festivals in Marlborough (USA), Verbier (Switzerland), Schleswig-Holstein (Germany) and many other festivals in France and Italy.
The pianist's repertoire includes works of both classical and romantic periods, as well as works by contemporary composers.
Among her creative partners are violinists C. Tetzlaff, R. Capuçon, A. Dumais, cellist S. Isserlis and clarinetist J. Widmann.
Momo Kodama’s discography includes recordings of works by Chopin, Ravel, Debussy and Messiaen.
