A jazz pianist, composer, and an honored Artist of Armenia, he graduated from the composition department of the Yerevan State Conservatory. He studied in the USA with the bebop legend Barry Harris and Frank Hewitt. For many years, he has been an adherent of the exclusively bop and swing styles. He worked with such legendary jazz musicians as Elvin Jones, Jimmy Lovelace, Charles Davis, Leroy Williams, Zayd Nesser, Chris Byers, Yala Balin, Keith Bala. Today, the musician performs at the most prestigious jazz venues solo and as part of his quartet, resented at the first Russian Jazz Forum in 2018.
