Biography

He began to play the piano at the age of 7 with Professor G. Sechkin, and then continued his studies at the Faculty of Performing Arts of Bilkent University in Ankara with Gulnara Aziz, a student of Russian professor Alexey Nasedkin.

In 2006, after graduating with honors from the University, the pianist entered the postgraduate course of the Moscow Conservatory, the class of Irina Plotnikova. And shortly after graduating from the school, Ozgur Unaldi was awarded the title of laureate at the 17th J. Brahms Competition in Austria becoming the first Turkish pianist to be awarded this prestigious award.

The pianist often performs solo and chamber music in Turkey and abroad, participates in many festivals, plays with outstanding conductors and orchestras. In addition to concert activity, Ozgur Unaldi devotes a lot of time to composing - he writes various music for piano solo, being the author of a number of preludes, toccatas, variations and cadences for classical duets, as well as arrangements for piano duets and trios. The pianist’s discography includes «Turkish Piano Trios» and «Rachmaninov’s music for two pianos».

Currently he is a professor at the Department of Piano at the State Conservatory of Uludag University in Bursa, recognized as one of the leading conservatories in Turkey.
