Biography

Leonid Sendersky is the leader of the St. Petersburg groups "Nobody's Quartet" and Fresh, the author of numerous jazz compositions, music for theater and cinema. He is the pupil of Gennady Golstein, and then he graduated from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Denmark, winning a scholarship to study in the class of Mark Bernstein (USA). Leonid regularly performs with European and Russian musicians. Since 2010, he is the musical director of the festival "Jazz in the Palace" (St. Petersburg). Also he is a participant of numerous international projects with musicians from the USA, Israel, England, Russia, Denmark, Finland, Estonia.
In 2013, he recorded his first American album «Desert Flower» in New York in collaboration with guitarist Tony Romano, which was attended by Randy Brecker, Joe Locke and Cleve Douglas.
In Israel, where the musician moved in 2011, he has formed the Lenny Sendersky Quartet. Among the partners of Leonid were Cleve Douglas, Tony Romano, Ernesto Simpson, Kadri Voorand, Alexi Tuomarila, Kari Ikonen, Jaak Sooaar, Vyacheslav Ganelin, Andrei Kondakov, Victoria Urusova, Evgeny Lebedev, Roman Stolyar, Alex Chizhik, etc.
