Denis Nedak
Biography
Denis Nedak was born in Odessa. Graduated from the Odessa State Choreographic School in 2002; then from the Kyiv Municipal Ukrainian Academy of Dance named after Serge Lifar (2003).
While at the Academy, he was invited to dance at the National Opera House in Kiev, where he performed Paris in Romeo and Juliet and the Prince in The Nutcracker. After his graduation, Nedak joined the National Ballet of Ukraine and in 2008 he became a professional soloist.
Nedak’s repertoire includes Solor in La Bayadère, Basil in Don Quixote, the Prince in The Sleeping Beauty, Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake, Albrecht in Giselle, Jose and Escamilio in Carmen Suite, Jean de Brienne in Raymonda, Conrad in Le Corsaire, the Prince in The Nutcracker and Krass in Spartacus.
He takes part in many international festivals and he is a regular guest at the Nureyev Festival in Kazan, Russia. He has performed worldwide in Russia, France, Italy, Germany and Japan.
In 2014, Nedak made his debut with ABT dancing Solor in La Bayadère. His repertoire with the Company also includes Prince Désiré in Alexei Ratmansky's The Sleeping Beauty.
Since 2015 he is a guest soloist at the American Ballet Theatre and at the Wiener Staatsoper.
