Biography

She was born in 1987 in Leningrad and graduated from the Special Music Lyceum School at the St. Petersburg Conservatory (class under the direction of Savely Shalman), the St. Petersburg Conservatory and completed postgraduate studies after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov (class under the direction of the Honoured Artist of Russia, Ilya Ioffe; creative director is the People’s Artist of Russia, Professor Mikhail Gantvarg).
She’s a prize winner of the following competitions:
1999 - First Prize at the All-Russian Competition “Youthful Assemblies of Arts” (Moscow)
2002 - Winner of the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists (France)
2007 - Winner of the International Chamber Music Competition in Lyon (France)
2008 - First prize at the Maria Yudina International Chamber Music Competition (St. Petersburg)
Alexandra has participated in master classes by I.Oystrakh, E.Grach, Z.Bron, Z.Totenberg, R.Hilier, R.Sushanskaya, D.Schwarzberg, B.Kushnir, V.Marschner, H.Baierle, and L.Honda-Rosenberg .
She’s a prize winner of the Gartow Charitable Foundation and others. A permanent participant of many international festivals held in Russia and abroad. She is the first performer of many works by Russian and foreign composers.
Alexandra has been giving concerts in the cities of Russia and Europe, both with orchestras and with chamber music programs. She has been collaborating with such conductors as Saulius Sondeckis, Fabio Mastrangelo, Vasily Petrenko. She has been a participant of the programmes of the St. Petersburg Music House since 2007.
