Juosas DOMARKAS, conductor (Lithuania)
“Led by imposing gestures of Juozas Domarkas, the orchestra demonstrated how the softness of string instruments and the power typical of Eastern European orchestras can be combined…”
Bredford, 1994
“Thanks to the oratorical art of Juozas Domarkas, the music by Algirdas Martinaitis sounded like elocution… The forte of the brass instruments allowed us to feel that in the performance of this orchestra the intonations of the human voice can always be heard.”
Yoshio Mamiya, Asahi, 1995
