Alexander SLADKOVSKY, conductor

Alexander Sladkovsky was born in Taganrog in 1965. He has graduated from Moscow Conservatory and from St.Petersburg one (prof.V.Chernushenko), and has made his debut at The Conservatory Opera and Ballet Theatre with Mozart “Cosi fan’tutte” , in 2001-2003 was the main conductor of the theatre. He is the laureate of the Third International S.S.Prokofiev Competition (1999), in 1997-2003 was the conductor of State Academic Capella.

As the invitee conductor collaborates with State Academical Orchestra of Russia, Tchaikovsky Big Symphony Orchestra, philharmonic orchestras of St. Petersburg, Moscow, Dresden, Belgrade, and many others.

Participated in many international festivals, such as: “Musical Olympus”, “Winter Festival Arts Square”, “Petersburg’ Spring” and many others. In May 2003 conducted at the grand opening of fountains in Peterhoff in the context of St.Petersburg 300-years anniversary in presence of leaders of 43 countries.

In 2003 was nominated to the “Golden Soffit” as the best conductor of the year. In 2005 with the president decree was given the rank “Honored artist of Russian Federation”. At the present tense Alexander Sladkovsky is the constant conductor of the The Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory Opera and Ballet Theatre and Russian State Symphony Orchestra “New Russia”.
