Pavel POPOV, violin

Born in 1975 in Novosibirsk, in the family of musicians. Since 1982 studied in Leningrad Conservatory Special Musical School (class of L.Ivashtshenko), since 1993 in St.Petersburg State Conservatory (since 1995 in V.Ovcharek class).
Ameliorates himself in High Music School in Hidehall. He is a laureate of: All-Russian competition of violinists (Saratov. 1997), international competitions “Virtuoso-2000”, Bellini Chamber Ensembles Competition and many others. Pavel Popov is a laureate of All-German Wagner Society (1996) and of Russian President’s premium(2002). Gives concerts since 1990. In 1991 had a debut with an orchestra, in 1995for the first time performed in The Grand Hall of St.Petersburg Philhamonia. As a member of “Victoria” trio performed on the best stages of Russia, Germany, USA, Spain, Austria. Performed with symphony orchestras under the conducting of: O.Dimitriady, M.Rostropovich, Y.Temirkanov, V,Gorenstein, R,Martynov, E.Serov, V.Tchernushenko.
Has made radio-records. Teaches in The St.Petersburg Conservatory, conducting master-classes in Russia, Finland, France, USA.
