Tatiana PAVLOVSKAYA, soprano

Born in Murmansk. Graduated from the Rimsky Korsakov Conservatoire, St. Petersburg in 1994. Joined the Mariinsky Theatre in 1995. Prizewinner of the Pechkovsky International Vocal Competition (St Petersburg, 1994) and International Competition for Young Opera Singers (Wroclaw, 1994). Her repertoire includes: Tatiana (Eugene Onegin), Polovtsian Girl (Prince Igor), Clara (Betrothal in a Monastery), Paulina (The Gambler), Klingsor's Flower Maiden (Parsifal), Countess Rosina (Le nozze di Figaro), Olga (The Maid of Pskov), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Maria (Mazeppa), Sophia (Semyon Kotko), Elsa (Lohengrin), Natasha Rostova (War and Peace), Gorislava (Ruslan and Lyudmila), Antonia (Les contes d'Hoffmann), Cephal (Cephal I Procris by Francesco Araia). In the summer of 1998 Ms. Pavlovskaia gave her debut at the Salzburg Summer Festival, singing in the concert performances of Parsifal with the Vienna Philharmonic under the baton of Maestro Gergiev. Made her debut with the San Francisco Opera under Valery Gergiev in Betrothal in a Monastery. Has toured with the Mariinsky Theatre France, Slovenia, Finland, Italy, Portugal, USA (Metropolitan Opera House) and Germany (Baden-Baden Festival).
