Rubin ABDULLIN, organ

People’s Artist of Russia, People’s artist of Republic of Tatarstan, Honored Artist of Russian Federation. Graduate of the Piano Department, Kazan State Conservatoire, Rubin Abdullin trained as organist in the Leningrad Conservatoire with prof. N. Oksentian (1974). Studying for his post-graduate course in Moscow Conservatoire under prof. L. Royzman (1979), he worked as a teacher and performing organist at the postgraduate course. Since 1973 Abdullin is a professor of the Special Piano and Organ Department in Kazan Conservatoire.

In 1988 Abdullin was became the rector of the Kazan Conservatoire. He is a laureate of the M. Dgalil Republic Literature and Art Prize (1988), laureate of the Russian Federation State Prize (2000), member of the International Musicians Union.

Rubin Abdullin tours a lot both in Russia and abroad. His repertoire includes all major styles from the Renaissance to the present days.
